LOOKING FOR THE GUINEAS?

Dawn Approach by New Approach (Galileo) out a Phone Trick mare in the 4-m line. Imbreed in Nearctic 5x5, with this kind of pedigree, - Phone Trick and double Nearctic - I have my doubts about his stamina. He will have the necessary for a mile. But over that, who knows? With a mighty victory in Group One Dewhurst Sakes in 2012, this handsome colt cemented his position in the upcoming 2,000 Guineas Stakes, and has 121 as his official rating.
Trained by Jim Bolger, - a name to respect always in the Guineas - Dawn Approach is a strong favorite - NOT MINE - and if he is able to keep up with the heroics that he has been displaying all through the year, there is no doubt about him going to bag the honors at this turf, too. I will wait to see.

Dundonnell by First Defense (Unbridleds Song) out of a Danzig mare in the 2-d line. His dame is a sister to Danehill. His third dam a half sister to Northern Dancer.  Imbreed in Natalma 6x5x5. I also doubt about his stamina, even for a mile. – But, he is a horse being tipped to oust Dawn Approach from the Number 1 position. Dundonnell has had quite a rough patch in the recent past, but gave an impressive show at Lingfield and York and Acomb Stakes. At the latter, this thoroughbred displayed some exemplary skills, while his strong turn o foot gave him an edge over his competitors. Something, that always help after the deep in Newmarket.

Olympic Glory by Choisir (Danehill Dancer) out of a Alzao mare, in the 3-c line. A pedigree that can go to a mile, even accepting the fact that a Amaranda - the third dam of Olympic Glory - was a pure sprinter. Richard Hannon’s Olympic Glory finished second to Dawn Approach in the Coventry Stakes, and is another favorite for this season. I believe the mile is his limit.
One of the best juveniles in Europe currently, he recorded a great victory in the G1 Prix at Longchamp. Beaten once by 3/4 of length in the G2 Coventry Stakes Ascot by none other than Dawn Approach, this horse has lapped up several wins post that. But not good enough in my opinion to beat Toronado, Dawn Approach, and possibly Van Der Neer.

Toronado by High Chaparral (Sadlers Wells out of a Grand Slam mare in the 1-d line. Imbreed in three lines by Northern dancer. This is my favorite. For the race, and also as a pedigree to a long journey. her fourth dam is a half sister to the Vaguely Noble, a horse with a lot of stamina, and with successful transmission of that.
With Richard Hughes up, Toronado has recorded three straight wins, the latest being the G2 Champagne Stakes in September 2012 beating Dundonnell. And what a performance this was.
Trained by Richard Hannon, this colt has managed to maintain his impeccable performance this season and is being predicted to keep up the show in 2000 Guineas as well. If he has the class, his pedigree is predicting, he can go all the way.

George Vancouver by Henrythenavigator out of a grade 1 winner by Danzig, in the 10-a line. With three lines of Northern dancer and Native Dancer, he has the pedigree to do it, and go more further. A star name, with a star pedigree and connections, that is set to appear at 2000 Guineas, George Vancouver was the winner of Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf 2012. In the horse racing fixtures, this horse has been cut from 33/1 to 20/1. Known to perform exceedingly well on a firm ground as he did in the Breeders’ Cup, he stands a mighty chance of winning the 2000 Guineas.

Van Der Neer by Dutch Art (Medicean) out of a king Charlemagne mare in the 12-b line. Imbreed in Halo and Northern Dancer. With a second class pedigree, this is another colt trained by Richard Hannon, Van Der Neer has had a triumphant seasonal debut this year. He finished as the runner-up in the Racing Post Trophy and stands at 17.00 in the upcoming 2000 Guineas. As horse racing online gains momentum with May 4 approaching, racing enthusiasts are tipping this young colt as one of the winners for this season. I believe so. But so early for the Guineas, I have my doubts... If he does, he will be the real thing. This will be the exception for the rule.

Havana Gold by Teofilo (Galileo) out of a desert Style mare in the 19-c line. Imbreed in Danzig and in his sire Northern Dancer. Having won as many as four times as a juvenile, Havana Gold showed precocity. He is another charge of Richard Hannon. Something as a long shot. Though luck did not favor him in the Tattersalls Millions race, he is being looked forward to giving a strong competition to the other contenders at the Guineas this season. If you like big odds...
